I got a “returned” Visor PDA on e-bay. It did come with the port to hook up to the computer. But there is no instruction manual.
I thought I would have no trouble because Mr. Lillith Fair has a Visor and I often put things in the datebook section.
He said I could type things on the computer then send them to the Visor. My questions is, how do I do this? Do I need special software and where do I get it?
I cannot ask Mr. Lillith Fair because then I will seem dumb. It is okay of you guys think I am dumb, because obviously I AM dumb, but I don’t have to live with you.

lilith,
The Visor PDA, operates on a version of palm OS software. So yes, you need a compatible version of that software. It’s probably 4.0 if the visor is newer. You need to find out what version is on your PDA (it should be in the preferences section somewhere) and then google for the compatible Palm desktop download.
And then once you’ve got it, you can enter things until your hearts’ content.
you need the hotsync software from Handspring for the particular Visor you have. You can find this on the handspring.com site, probably under “support” or “downloads”.
BUT, if you’re using the same computer that you’re already syncing Mr. Fair’s Visor to, then you’ve already got that software, and you’ll just need to set up another profile for it. I haven’t done that, but I know that it supports that feature. I suggest you open the hotsync software (if you have it) and browse the help section.
I think he must have the software on his laptop from work. So now I’ll have to ask him. Darn!
It isn’t on the computer we share…
Now…I don’t know why but when I started typing this reply the order suddenly jumped around. Did I do that?
