Ramaswamy is the slimiest grifter in the Republican field at present, and that’s saying something. He makes me instinctively clutch for my wallet every time he is on screen.
At this point, he’s just playing to whatever his next grift is going to be after the end of his campaign. I’m mildly interested in figuring out what this is going to be. The guy has been spouting some truly crazy stuff on the campaign trail.
My theory is that in the US “Nazi” means primarily “antisemitic” – even though the Nazis were against many other things as well, being against the Jews is the first one people think about.
In certain other countries, “Nazi” primarily means “anti-Russian”. VR’s campaign probably gets propaganda that originates in one of those countries.

I watched part of the show last night - it was not much of a “debate” since the contestants did their best to stay on message and not answer the moderators’ questions. Vivek is definitely bottom of the barrel, and that’s saying something. What a slimy, stinky excrescence he is. I thought the rest of the clowns up there were bad, but I can comprehend their candidacy; he is truly a joke. Someone please give this guy the hook.
I mean, I’m pretty convinced he’s really just running to be a running mate, and I’m guessing that’s what it takes.

It says a lot for the current GOP as usually he would stand out as particularly corrupt, incompetent and extreme, even in the GOP. But right now he’s basically just another unremarkable GOP “also ran”:
Nahhh I can’t see Trump agreeing to putting anyone on the who could be remotely conceived as a replacement or heir-apparent for Trump, and he definitely would be.
Somebody has to run to make the rest of them look like acceptable choices (they’re not).
