Kurt Vonnegut was injured in a fire, according to this article:

How ironic for a man who survived the fire bombing of Dresden.

Get well Kurt, you mean a lot to me.

Wow. I hope Kilgore is okay.

hmmm… don’t have much to say about this incident, except that kurt seems to be fire-proof.

but… how did you like bagombo snuff box?

I knew it! I just got rid of my Vonnegut sig quote a couple of days ago in favor of a procrastinator’s motto, and now he has been injured in a fire.

Seriously, I hope he is okay. The report said it was just smoke inhalation, so it sounds like he will come out of it okay.

BTW, I’ve decided to change my quote again.

-Wampeters, Foma and Granfalloons, “In a Manner that Must Shame God Himself” (Kurt Vonnegut)

Umm…that should say "BTW, I’ve decided to change my sig line again.

I just heard a DJ on our local Oldies station mention this. He said that Vonnegut is in intensive care, but will likely be okay, though he has pre-existing emphysema. Then the DJ segued into “Oye Como Va” with, “Here’s some smokin’ Santana…”

Hope he is doing better, when did this happen? That brings me to a point I want to make, doesn’t it annoy you when DJ’s segue into songs by using lame expressions or by making puns, geez that pisses me off. Sorry.
