And also, thanks and congratulations to all of the poets who participated. It is great to see the wealth of talent displayed by SDMB members. You should all be very proud of yourselves.

Thank you all for a fun opportunity-- I’m amazed at something new every time I look at the submissions here! Some beautiful things happened, even with the time constraints and the bordering-on-horrific words! I’m definitely looking forward to the next challenge!
In the meantime, I realize that I am the Inaugural Poet Laureate, but I assume there could be some, ahem, responsibilities that go along with the position. Speaking engagements. State dinners. Travel to other countries. Or maybe challenges to write other stuff in an hour or less! Hahaha! Seriously. Let me know if I can help
out with the next contest or whatever. I’ve already started signing things with my new title. We’ll, just a note to my mom, but still!
