Voynich manuscript decoded

Looks interesting although I can’t get to the referenced publication at *Transactions Of The Association For Computational Linguistics.

Neat. I remember hearing about this just a year or two ago, several people were claiming it was all jibberish, and had no meaning. Glad someone finally figured it out.

Even better that they used AI to help solve it.

Here is an existing (but older) thread on the Voynich manuscript.

Drink more Ovaltine?

CMC fnord!

The Fox News headline is highly misleading. The authors of that article don’t claim to have “decoded” the Voynich manuscript. What they did was try to figure out the language of the original plaintext, and concluded that it was anagrammed (scrambled) Hebrew. Even if that turns out to be correct, they still don’t know what the manuscript actually says.

I checked the Voynich subreddit and the folks there are quite skeptical, to say the least.
