I actually think Harris did fairly bad, not because she did anything particularly badly, but because Trump has been so incredibly bad that it’s trivially easy to point out just how fucking wildly incompetant and how outside the norm he is. Both her and Biden are treating this as though we’re having a normal political debate with a normal difference of opinion, rather than an insane, corrupt narcissist actively working as an asset for a foreign government deliberately trying to destroy our government.
If I had just watched this debate without knowing what a collosal fuckup Trump was, I would think this was just normal political bickering rather than sanity vs insanity. The democrats are doing a poor job of holding Trump to the flames for just how fucking abnormal he is. I know that Trump benefits from outrage exhaustion, he’s been so incredibly bad for so long people are tired about it, but people need to hold their feet to the fire and consistently point out just how incredibly corrupt and how hostile towards this country and our government that the Trump administration has been.
I think people who don’t pay that much attention to politics don’t understand just how abnormal this is, and how much damage has been done, and the democrats are fucking terrible at their messaging and somehow aren’t able to do a very good job of attacking the worst presidential administration in US history.
Sometimes one gets tired of trying to explain what a nutjob Trump is. If it’s not obvious to you yet can you be convinced? Perhaps they’re taking the path of instead explaining how good Biden is.

I didn’t like her at all until tonight.
I mean I was going to vote for Biden anyway but I was very, very disappointed when he chose her. She was my last choice. But after tonight I really like her.
I think they are playing to not lose. They feel they have a lead so why get all edgy? Just take a knee and run the clock out.
Clinton tried that too. There is reason to think this time it will work but personally I am tired of the notion that they don’t have to win, they just need not lose.
That is so great to hear. Thanks for sharing your feelings – truly. I think that’s what Harris was trying to do more than anything tonight, just introduce herself to the voters who aren’t really that familiar with her.
Pence did it MORE obnoxiously than anyone I’ve ever seen.
I can’t for the life of me understand why moderators for these debates seemingly are NEVER up to the task. Tonight infuriated me more than most, with the repeated “thank you, Mr. Vice President” and then inevitable time-going-over, repeated ad nauesum. It’s like the last thing on earth you should be saying “thank you” for - egregiously violating the rules. It’s fucking Kafkaesque - totally upside down - the very first time pence blatantly went over his time he should have been called out. But he was allowed to get away with it. A precedent was set: he’s allowed to keep going as much as he wants. And he does. NO thank you. NO thank you!! This moderator is shit. A baseball umpire would be out of a job flat on his ass if he ignored blatant rule violation, but the people who oversee the debate between people running for PRESIDENT just allow them to walk over then like the rules mean nothing. I am so pissed off at this weak ass moderation.
Personally I am not a Harris fan and I have issues with her but I certainly do not hate her. Also, she is very smart and pretty good on her feet (when talking).
Harris was terrible. She let Pence lie and lie and never responded to his lies.
Page was terrible, she needed to shut Pence off after every answer.
And I’m very disappointed that the Biden campaign supports fracking.
