Someone is performing the most godawful version of “God Bless America” that I’ve ever heard at the Yankees-Twins game right now. And that’s a horrible song to begin with.
“Senator Kerry and I have a plan!” Yeah, right here in my pocket. I’ve heard that at least three times on three subjects. Mind letting us know what’s in these wonderful plans?
Seriously, it’s frustrating for someone who really wants to hear a reason to vote against Bush.
“They key is to get Iraqis to take over their own security [rather than toss more American troops in there].” ~Cheney
Oh, dear, Cheney. Without a strong backing and updated training, they won’t be able to face the threats we helped create in their country. They need our fucking help and you should know it you cowardly bastard. We need to be there to combat corruption that so easily arises in these times, see, f’rex, Vietnam. Been mentioned a few times in this campaign for other reasons but I think there are some lessons we could have learned there.
I have a serious question almost barely related to this current debate. It has always been my understanding that what congress authorized was the use of force if necessary, not a direct declaration of immediate war on Iraq. This being the case, if anyone changed their minds, could they have really flip-flopped? Or is my understanding totally off-base? Someone please help this troubled soul.
The veepers were supposed to be talking about themselves and the differences between them, not the big boys on the ticket.
You’d think politicians would be good at talking about themselves.
Hey, the mod brought up my Great Debate question
Revisited 3.5 years later. Bush: Uniter or Divider

Actually I think you are wrong…I think Republicans are actually taking a new look at him. I can only go by my own Republican…a.k.a. my wife. SHE was always creeped out by Chaney. Now, she is starting to think he’s not so bad.

I share your frustration.
Back to Health Care!
Whiplash!
We call this policy “Vietnamization.” And we’ll bring the troops home.
Cheney
I can imagine. Nobody even knows what the question was to begin with.
Edwards brought up his mill worker daddy.
:drink:
Ask Dio where he is taking his break. You need one too.
 Just knew Edwards was gonna find a way to bring up the “son of a millworker” thing . . .
We have a plan. Everybody drink!
Bush said that a couple of times in the debate with Kerry last week too.
“An empty chair at your table!” It’s Dickensesque!
That’s the best plan I’ve heard all election.
Drain the bottle if Cheney’s human-voice chip gives out during his closing statement, and he begins speaking in raw binary!
Closing arguements. Edwards…weak IMO. Should have closed out stronger I think.
