I’ve a family member that I recently found out was in the “pokey” up in VT, and though my Mom was able to give me the basics of what he was in jail for, she was unable/unwilling to give any details.
Anyone know of a way that I can find out what the charge he was convicted on was? I’ve found out where he is from the VT DOC site, which matches the info I have, but it has no “charge” info.
I’m probably being too nosy for my own good, but I’m curious, and it might help with some conversations with my slightly wayward brother. (He’s gotten better, but not all of his bad habits are gone)
You might be able to find info on his trial, which would include the charge against him. Perhaps go to the stie for the specific court he was tried in and search their records.
I think I heard about this case. ButlerBro tied his alligator to a fire hydrant on Sunday. Turns out the quaint little town of Maple Springs, VT still enforces this law. At the trial, ButlerBro had to admit that he’d read about the law on one of those lists that float around the internet, but he still left the gator tied up, so the judge threw the book at him.
Well, it was ButlerCuz that has gone “up the river”, and it would be nice to have some details that I might be able to use to keep my 18yo Butlerbro from doing the same. Though I like the thinking, the case was a bit more serious than a pet alligator (I wonder if I could get an attack alligator! :D)
Sangfroid, he’s in the work camp in St. Johnsbury.
Bouv, I looked around the site, but can’t find anything that allows searches for specific defendants/cases.
This is more to settle my curiosity than anything else, I’ve been a bit out of touch with this cousin, so I’m not sure where he was living, nor where he was tried. The fact that he is in jail just was released to me by Mom since it’s now common knowledge around the extended family. He’s been in for a while, (about 6 months or so), and I know it was drug related, but I was curious about how much/what he was caught with.
