W=6?

my sister’s eleventh grade history teacher said that somehow, i’m not sure if it’s like in greek or some crap, w=6. it’s not numerology, cause in numerology w=5. can anyone figure this out?

This has to do with WWW=666 and therefore the Internet is the TOOL OF SATAN!

:eek:

I’ve heard this before from the crazy Library Lawn preacher that comes to campus and annoys us.

here
The Hebrew and Greek alphabet does not have separate characters or alphabets for numbers and letters. Letters are also used as numbers. So each letter is a numerical value.

The Hebrew equivalent of our “w” is the letter “vav” or “waw”. The numerical value of vav is 6. So the English “www” transliterated into Hebrew is “vav vav vav”, which numerically is 666.

Who, what, when, where, why, and how? The key to any good history paper. :slight_smile:

huh?

Greek has no W, if I remember right. So, Greek is right out. Perhaps your sister left out some part of the explanation. The field of history is rife with mistakes, misinterpretations, and utter nonsense. In your shoes, I’d go back to the source and ask the teacher why W=6. After you get the teacher’s answer, you can do some research of your own. Then you can decide if the teacher is on firm footing, in your opinion.

Five W’s and an H. Standard for anyone with journalism school training. Answer all six one-word questions and you have a complete story.

Short and crappy, but still complete.
