Wait... La Femme Nikita season 5??

How did I miss this? I watched the whole series faithfully and when it was cancelled, it was cancelled. Bye Nikita!

Wandering around the internet I stumbled across a Nikita episode guide and started reading to refresh my memory of how the last season ended. Starting at season 5 ep 1 I started thinking, “this doesn’t sound very familiar.” I ordered it from Netflix and just started watching season 5. Yikes! I googled.

The fans staged a campaign to bring it back and they succeeded! There’s a season 5 for me to watch. Woot!

Did everyone else already know this?

Yes.
And it was really, really, really bad. Almost like they were trying to punish fans for wanting more. You will be happier if you just pretend you didn’t find out about season 5. And if you do watch it, you’ll wish you hadn’t.

I began watching when it was on syndication on Oxygen, and didn’t understand why viewers were annoyed.
The first episode I saw, and still my favorite is Catch a Falling Star.
Apparently quite disliked by purists, I thought the spoilered scene below was outstanding.

Nikita and Michael and hancuffed and being led away to be killed. Nikita kills the woman guarding her with her bare hands. Michael holds the shot gun barrel and pump, Nikita aims and fires. Michael works the pump and they kill all the other bad guys. Cool.

The same producers made 24 BTW.

Well, I got through the first three eps of season 5. It’s not that bad so far, but I can definitely feel a difference. I was thinking maybe I just remembered the show being better than it was, but if others felt the same way about this season I guess not. I’ll watch the rest.

Seeing the show again makes me wonder what happened to all the actors. I can’t remember seeing any of them since, except for Pita Wilson maybe a couple times.

One of them I won’t spoil for you is on 24.

I thought the end of the fourth season of La Femme Nikita was so awesome and twisted. I wasn’t expecting it, and yes, I’ll admit it, it really affected me. I watched the fifth season, and while I don’t regret watching it, it just felt like it was pandering to Nikita/ Michael shippers. I AM glad I don’t remember it at all, because now I just pretend the series ended at the fourth season.

Oh, cool. You can spoil the actor for me if you want. I’m still only on season two of 24. I like the show, but have a lot of catching up to do sooner or later. Can’t believe I’ve managed to remain major spoiler free this whole time.

Carlo Rota and Robert Glazer are in both series.

Cool. Now that you mention it, I think I remember Carlo Rota on 24, not sure about Glazer, but I like them both.
