You left out what’s the most obvious to a lot of people – Vincent in Beauty and the Beast.
Ron Perlman is a great actor with a very odd face shape, with that heavy jaw. For a long time I was afraid that he’d b limited to parts requiring an oddly-shaped actor and lots of makeup , as in B&B, and Name of the Rose, and others, culminating in Hellboy. He didn’t deserve to be treated like Rondo Hatton.
But he’s transcended that, I’m happy to say. His role in The Last Supper owes nothing to the shape of his face.
I was watching “Saved” the other day (a surprisingly enjoyable movie) & trying to figure out why one of the female leads was so familiar - then I realized that Jena Malone the American high school student in “Saved” was also Lydia in the newest film of “Pride and Prejudice”. She’s very good. Has she been under the radar generally, or have I just been out touch, as per usual.
Technically she was the bride of Frankenstein’s monster… Valerie Hobson played Elizabeth Frankenstein. I guess the problem here is that the movie is basically titled incorrectly.
I’d say not so much under the radar as in lesser known movies.
She played a young Jodie Foster in Contact.
The most surprising one for me was watching Requiem for a Dream and realizing that Big Tim (the guy that Jennifer Connelly goes to at the end) is the voice of Goliath in Gargoyles. Man’s name is Keith David.
Someone mentioned the movie “Up the Creek” the other day to me and I was trying to remember if there was any familiar names in that movie. I finally found Tim Matheson, and looking him up, found out he was not only Jonny Quest, but also the Vice President on the West Wing.
Other Jena Malone films - Donnie Darko, The United States of Leland, and Cold Mountain (the girl on the boat).
IMHO, the moment where you’re most likely to get it is when Jodie Foster starts asking him questions and he replies, “Oh, wait – was she a great big fat person?”
Saw What’s Up Doc? over the weekend. You wanna talk about a movie with a bunch of “It’s that guy!” people?

And here’s one that made me slap my forehead the first time I realized it: Ted Knight, (Mary Tyler Moore, Caddyshcak, Too Close For Comfort), was the narrator from the old Superfriends cartoon. “Laterrrrr…at…the Hall Of Justice!”
Oooh…that’s weird. The faces didn’t match at all, but now I can hear both voices in my head (along with the usual others…). And danged if they arent the same guy!
It was some time after I saw “Raiders of the Lost Ark” that I finally recognized him from “I, Claudius”, where he played Macro, Sejanus’s second in command. The delay was because he played Macro clean-shaven.
And of course, Sejanus was played by Patrick Stewart, with hair.
Didn’t he (Ted Levine) also so the voice of Rusty Nail in Joyride, and play the agent in Fast and the Furious?
For me I was sure that I had seen Particia Arquette somewhere before and was happy to find her in “Nightmare on Elm Street 3: The Dream Warriors”
I was also shocked to find Jake Gyllenhaal in “City Slickers” (he plays the son) and Matt Damon in a bit part in “Mystic Pizza”, and Cole Hauser as a nazi skinhead in “Higher Learning”
