Walk-all-over-ya, I mean damn!

What the fuck do you *mean *you don’t support IE8? I don’t even understand that concept. You’re telling me that you don’t support the default Windows browser that is used by millions and millions of people? That YOU HAVE FUCKING WRITTEN IN ASP.NET? Your web pages end with aspx. Don’t fucking tell me you don’t support IE8. If my company glibly answered a customer service call by saying, “Sorry, we just don’t support IE8,” we’d lose half our business.

I know that there are people out there who like Firefox (which you say you support — and which I find to be strange), but the solution to a SUDDEN inability to access my accounts is NOT to download a fucking different browser. I use IE8 for a reason, and it is not unreasonable to have it supported. Say what you will about IE, but it is the most forgiving browser out there. Too forgiving sometimes. So if, as you claim, you must have a stray tag, IE will work around it. Some other browsers won’t.

No, the problem is not that I have IE8. The problem is that you’re merging with Wells Fargo, and the IT people on the Wachovia side are being dismissed, especially where duplications are found. You have only a skeleton crew left, doing clean-up work before it all switches to Wells Fargo in a few weeks.

SO STOP FUCKING LYING ABOUT WHY YOUR PAGES WON’T LOAD. You’re just making shit up. All you have to do is tell people to run Crap Cleaner, and really ream out all the cookies and temp files from previous Wachovia visits, because your software gets confused when you log back in. That’s it. It’s that simple.

And one other thing. Your site design sucks. Any time a programmer forces a user to pull out a calculator (or in your case, three simultaneous calculators), his design is idiotic. I need to know when a check has cleared MY account, not when it has cleared YOURS. That is worthless information to me. So you mailed it on the 9th. That’s nice. BUT THEN YOU CLOSE IT OUT, AND IT DISAPPEARS FROM THE OUTSTANDING CHECK LISTING.

Goddamn, you people are stupid. You’re very very nice, but you’re dumb as all get out. I don’t know. Maybe when we switch to Wells Fargo, we’ll be jumping from the frying pan to the fire. After all, when I called WF to ask if they support IE8 (they do, of course), while I was on hold, your recording was bragging about the fact that you now have two columns, one for debits and one for credits.

Oh, Jesus. This is not a good time to be fucking with our access to our money. We have multiple projects underway, and we do pay-as-you-go. We need — strike that — we HAVE to know exactly how much has been paid but has not yet cleared our account as well as credit card temporary authorizations. And what’s with the ONE FUCKING DOLLAR thing? You already know the exact amount of the transaction, so fucking POST it.

God, what a day. We can’t settle our financial affairs AND we go to a funeral. Wachovia, you’re nice people but I’m sorry, you suck. Don’t support IE8? Stop pissing on my leg and telling me it’s raining. Be honest. You just don’t give a shit anymore because you’re losing your jobs. And frankly, telling people that the solution to their problem is to uninstall IE8 and reinstall IE7 is the dumbest customer service advice I have ever heard. And I’ve heard dumb ones.

It had better be working tomorrow morning, or I’m calling your asses early. And I’m gonna stay on the phone until I get to the fucking president of Wachovia. Or Wells Fargo. Or whatever. Just somebody who gives a shit.

Okay. So you’re lucky. Everything works now. And you fucking lied.

hi

 Great post! (You’re not one of the people I spoke to yesterday, are you?)

On one hand I feel your pain that your web browser choice should matter at all as far as accessing the site goes. However on the other hand you use IE8 so it’s about like trying to feel sympathy for some who sexually violates goats for a hobby.

And gets GRID, goat-related immunodeficiency.
