She’s only eight months old, and she’s practically RUNNING all over the apartment!
Only about two weeks ago she was holding on to things to get around, but for the past two days she’s pulling away. First day she only took two or three steps, but last night she made it across the room. AT EIGHT MONTHS! I’m not ready! I have no gates! I need shoes (okay not really but everyone keeps telling me this)! I need to babyproof, seriously babyproof! ACK!
I thought this happened later. My oldest couldn’t even hold on to walk until she was eleven months old and didn’t do it on her own until she was a year old.
Ah but it’s so cute watching her move around on her sturdy little legs. I have no pics yet, but soon, very soon.
Awww, They’re so cute when they start walking. Measure the length from the floor to the tip of her fingers when her arm is stretched up, add a couple of inches for tippy toes. Then remove everything that’s not nailed down within that height. Give her a cookie or snack for each hand. If it’s yummy, she’ll be less likely to set it down and reach for something else.
Yep, 8 months is pretty early, especially for a girl. But younger siblings often have greater motivation to get up and moving so they can join in the fun with big sis!
