Just wait until they implement receipt checking. ![]()
Hope I’m not repeating something that’s already been addressed, I looked but didn’t see mention of this guy who used a thermal imager to create his own WalMart receipts and has walked out with about $100,000 in products, which he resold to fuel his meth addiction.
When they ask to see one’s receipt do they just peek at it or scan the barcode? I believe it’s the barcode that obviously wouldn’t be replicable/match the store’s records.
With their prices as low as they are, how the hell do you carry $100k in merchandise out of the store? How many trips did he have to make? lol
Costco checkers looks at the receipt and marks it up. This is to prevent you from passing the receipt to a buddy, who would then take another copy of that item, and then waltz by the checkout and leave with it. Since the checker marks it the first, the second person can’t exit with a “used” receipt.
wow.. if this happened to me, I would have turned around right away and returned that computer. Then make sure to thank the manager for just losing almost a thousand dollar sale! Consequences for stupidity people… you can’t treat all your customers like dirt and then expect loyalty.
never mind.
Since there is about $5 worth of margin on that sale, don’t imagine you are really punishing them.
Best Buy.
Yep.
