what’s the name of a episode of walt disney’s Goofy the dog learning to drive or giving driving lessons? its a hilarions pick at adult drivers I saw it on TV as a kid back in the 60’s is it onDVD/VHS? where can I get copy?
Looks like you’re in luck if it’s Motor Mania. The other two might be hard, if not impossible, to come by on video.
I’d like to take this opportunity to answer an age-old question, to wit: If Pluto is a dog, then what the heck is Goofy?
You see, in his labs, Walt Disney was engaged in some bizarre genetic experiments in anthropomorphization. His earliest experiments with a mouse, and then a duck, were successful, although a genetic anamoly resulted in them to having only three fingers on each hand. But during the effort to anthropomorphize a dog, excessive exposure to nitroud oxide during the process resulted in considerable brain damage to the specimen. The dog Pluto was aquired in order to repeat the experiment, but Mickey convinced Walt to do a female mouse instead, and the second dog conversion was never carried out.
You guys just couldn’t wait for me, could you?
If you’d really like to see it you can get a speeding ticket in Goodlettsville, TN. Thats where I got my first (of many) and we watched that cartoon as one of our training videos
Is it just me, or does that sound like something Goofy himself would do?
“Excuse me, sir. Did you know you were speeding?”
“'Course I did! Now I get to see a movie fer free! Ga-hyuck!”
Old Walt’s not just plain goofy, he’s f***ing goofy.
Somebody had to say it.
A complete collection of Goofy shorts is scheduled for release on DVD later this year. I would imagine you will find it on there.
GARSH!
…Say, was it Goofy himself learning how to drive, or was it one of those Goofy-oid creatures that showed up in some other Disney films? You know, the ones with no ears, smaller eyes, more hair, and a different voice?
