Can anyone tell me anything about why this formerly popular site just stopped updating?

I’ve done a search on this board (nothing), and Google (nothing much, and what’s there is old).

Does anyone know who he is or was? He’s the funniest writer I’ve ever had the pleasure of reading. Six years ago he suddenly stopped. My life hasn’t been the same since.

Back in the day (mid 90’s), the site was winning all of those internet awards {Best, Worst, whatever; it got a shitload of attention}, Time magazine did a story on it, etc.

I think I’m posting in the right forum, since I’m looking for any available facts, but please move this if necessary.

Do you have to remind me why I’m so dumb? :slight_smile: I’m going to do that right now. If you’ve ever read his page, though, one might be dubious of getting a straight answer. I’m dubious of getting a factual answer, and it’s been six years since he’s updated. Hell, his granfather (his spelling) is an alien and Walter hasn’t updated in six years. But hell yeah, I should have thought of emailing him. Thank you for your reply.

Using my one and only bump.

After thinking about it for awhile, I think I did email him a few years ago, probably drunk. No response then, no response from last night’s email.

Ah, that page takes me back. A simpler time, when Turkish men kissed you, balls were eaten, and porn came in still jpegs.

Looks like it was bought/licensed by Harvey Entertainment for development as an animated TV program, which apparently never materialized. My guess is that Harvey still holds the rights to it and placed it in limbo.

Interestingly, the identity of the real “Walter Miller” doesn’t seem to have been revealed.
