Anyone ever done this? If you like to use coupons, it’s kind of fun…
I’d put together a packet of grocery coupons (already clipped and ready to use), stick it in an envelope, and send it to the first person in line. S/he would take out the coupons she wants, put in the ones that she cuts out of her own Sunday paper or wherever, and sends it to the next person. And so on. The trick is, of course, to clip ALL the coupons in your inserts, because even if I don’t use Particular Deodorant, someone down the list might. All it would cost you is a stamp or two.
I get a LOT of duplicate coupons–one of the perks of carrying papers, I suppose–but not a lot of variety. Occasionally, I’d like to have a chance to paw through the coupons that someone else, in a different part of the country receives. One time someone from another state sent me a bunch of coups for Yuban coffee, my favorite–and one I’d never seen couponed here. What fun!
So, if ya wanna play: Add your name to this list. I think it would be best if each of you contacted the person before you with your address, rather than having me send out a list with the initial mailing–it’ll save stamps as well as avoiding any privacy issues.
Sunday will be the first day I’ll clip a bunch, because we didn’t have any on Easter, so if all goes well, I’ll send out the envelope early next week.
Well, I’m guessing that, for obvious reasons, this will have to be confined to us 'mericans, but, I loves me some coupons! Count me in. I’ll clip all the coupons from my circular this Sunday, too.

I have a big bunch of coupons, most of them from this week’s Sunday paper–I have a lot of duplicates in there, because I had lots of extra inserts.
SO: I’m sending to Marconi & Schmeese, who kindly sent me her snail address.
Then she will send it to norinew.
Who will forward it to angelicate, if she gets angelicate’s address.
Then onward from angelicate to** Krys92gp**.
And from there to Rick.
Rick, basically everyone will take what they want out, and put a bunch of their own coups back in before sending it on to the next person. So when it gets to you, take whatever you want, and send it to whoever comes next. I’ll be last in line, so when we run out of people, I’ll email my address to the last person.
If you get the envelope and get stuck because the next person hasn’t sent h/h address yet, we’ll just roll it over to the next participant. I don’t have anyone’s addresses except for M&S’s, but I’ll drop some emails if needed to keep things chugging along smoothly.
I’ll try to send this big ol’ envelope out tomorrow!
Question 1: Will old coupons ever get weeded out? I can imagine the same coupons going around and around like lonely packages on the baggage carousel of groceryland.
*Secretly hoping Rick doesn’t have any toddlers and will pass on diaper coupons!

Lily, you’re welcome to join. Just send your mailing address to Rick. I’ll keep my eyes open for diaper coupons for you…didn’t run across any this time, oddly enough.
Re: expired coupons, Lily brings up a very good point. Maybe we could all just keep our eyes peeled for expireds, and weed them out as we go. Mine are all fresh, so if we move fairly quickly, I think they’ll be fine. Just check the dates before you use!

Can I join too? I grab all the Sunday papers left over at work, so sometimes I can get quite a stack of dupes. I’ve now got about a two-foot high pile of them & will weed out the expireds. Of course, I guess I’ll just have to send them in batches to save postage starting with the nearest expiry. Sound okay?
