WaPo: Trump was the Manchurian Candidate

I think John Bolton is already floating that balloon (or turd).
He’s saying Obama did it.
Never mind, I got beat to it.

I honestly don’t think a lot of Trump supporters would care even if this was proven true beyond a shadow of a doubt. Many of them would gladly help set the country on fire as long as they got to watch the liberals/Muslims/illegal immigrants/etc burn alongside them.

Trump has rather obviously been in Putin’s back pocket all along and people still voted for him. Why this article makes any difference I cannot imagine. Trumpists have an alternate set of facts where stuff like that is just ignored and there are child sex rings run out of pizza joints.

I’m only surprised that people are finally cluing in that Russia hacked America’s democracy.

For the past year and a half every right-winger I see on social media has often been posting sheer nonsense that that ultimately comes from Russian propaganda sites – but with the serial numbers filed off and reposted to make it look like it comes from red-blooded Muricans and Canajuns.

At this point I don’t know who is dumber: the Americans who voted for Trump thinking he would help them, or the millions who concluded Clinton was just as bad and so did not vote at all.

There you go, then, Trump’s election was one of the 46 biggest electoral college victories in history.

(I’ve never been fond of the “one of the biggest” phrasing. One of the how many biggest?)

How comforting it must be to reflect that you didn’t lose as badly as usual.

Shodan

And what of Donna Brazile feeding debate questions to Hillary?

It may not have made a difference but they seemed to have tried to fix the primary at several junctures that we know about. Why is it that when we see a Charleston cop shoot a black man and then dump a taser on the corpse, we assume that this shit happens all the time but we just don’t catch it but when we catch Hillary’s camp trying to fix the primary, we assume its a one off despite the fact that there is evidence that its not.

Pretty much… and would call the rest of us traitors for not falling in line with them.

It’s just one attempt at false equivalency after another with you, isn’t it.

It actually is pretty comforting, especially when we go into the state details and see how frickin’ close it was, since it demonstrates that we Democrats were really, really close to winning, even with (what is clear now, though it wasn’t before) a very poor candidate.

Penguins are pretty confused, then. But not as much as Trump supporters who bought his promises.
