See, that’s where Trump is gifted. Those tiny digits make it so easy! /s
I read that it had to do with leaking the news of Elon Musk getting access to a top secret military briefing on China, which was canceled when the planned meeting was made public.
That’s what I read, also. Can’t recall the source; might have been someone on Bluesky posting an article from another source. Pretty sure it wasn’t CNN.
My point is that they don’t, remotely, appear to be infallible and so far know one in the Trump regime has suffered any real consequences for their actions, so why bother throwing someone under the bus.
If they didn’t fire someone, even if they publicly denied responsibility, something we’ve seen their leader do, then what? Is anyone going to get dragged into court over this? Are there going to be any investigations? Is someone going to get impeached? Probably not.
Also, since I didn’t see it posted here yet:
Hegseth did it again. This time he shared classified strike information on Signal with his wife and brother.
He just has no fucking common sense.
Of course he doesn’t. Common sense would be a disqualifying condition for a role in trump’s criminal regime.
Trump’s all about cents, not sense! (Ba-dum tish!)
Former Pentagon official warns department’s dysfunction could topple Hegseth
The Pentagon is in “total chaos” and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth is unlikely to remain in his role, according to its former top spokesperson, who painted a scene of dysfunction, backstabbing and continuous missteps at the highest levels of the department.
The remarkable accusations by a former official — who left only two days ago and insists he still supports the Trump administration’s national security policies — underscores the infighting and upheaval that has turned increasingly public in recent weeks.
Why not just turn these into Zoom calls that anyone can join-- for a modest fee, of course.
In fact (getting an idea) how about just selling subscriptions to these calls? Bet they could raise a boatload of cash from interested citizens and foreign gummints who want to see inside the workings of U.S. (so-called) foreign policy. Yeah, that’s the ticket.
This makes it even more appealing. Like the trashiest reality show. The ratings will be through the roof. That will please Donnie.
I was going to suggest Facebook.

All dollars and no sense.
You’re telling me putting a chronic alcoholic with zero high-level leadership experience in command of the world’s largest and most complicated bureacracy will only result in disaster? Color me amazed!
But you have to admit the guy has true TV anchorman hair.

Does this imply that people in the Washington DC area should assume that anybody chatting them up at the local bar probably works for Trump?
You mean Putin? Nobody “works for Trump.” He’s just a mid-level manager.
I bet it was more than twice. But, point taken (and funny).
But you have to admit the guy has true TV anchorman hair.
Have you seen the video of him ranting at the press at the Whitehouse Easter event? People are pointing out that his sideburns are two different lengths. And not “You have to get close and measure them” different. Like, “One is at the top of his ear, the other past the bottom of the ear” different.
Plus, it’s hilarious to see the looks on his kids faces as he tries to make them into props in the middle of his rant.
Will we soon have a “Hegseth” time to go along with the “Scaramucci”? The possibilities are endless…

White House looking to replace Pete Hegseth as defense secretary : NPR
I would just like to point out that NPR is usually very careful about reporting events until they are sure they have their facts right.
Of course, this administration denies there is any problem until suddenly he has to leave to spend more time with his family (or whatever euphemism they are using these days).
