I was at TD Garden/North Station last night for a Bruins game. As I was waiting for the train back to Maine after the game, I was walking around the station and saw a sign on the ceiling facing down" Danger- Do not walk on ceiling" This must have been at least 30 feet up! Unless Spiderman gets bored waiting for his train, why does there need to be a warning of this?
Made you look!
They were probably working in the space above the ceiling and accidentally (or intentionally as a joke) put the panel back in upside down.
Well, it’s good advice.
if you had to keep cleaning foot prints off the ceiling then you would put the sign up there too.
Paging Lionel Ritchie.
No, wait… it never said No Dancing. Carry on.
Could it have been an advertisement for something? North and South Stations often get large ads to fill in the vast overhead space.
Ceiling Cat watchez U all.
I’ll just add this to my list of “Things I didn’t know I needed a sign for,” like “Watch for Pedestrians in Crosswalk.”
OK, that looks like it’s a sign mounted on an access hatch - therefore, the sign could be saying “when you open this and go through here, don’t walk on the top surface of the ceiling”
This makes sense but if they can’t walk on the ceiling, what are they going to do once they get up there?
They’re going to walk on the joists from which the ceiling is suspended.
Walk on the trusses.
