Warren Ellis seems to have become very prolific of late

British comic book writer Warren Ellis seems to be on a roll in 2016:

a. Karnak - an Ellis curmudgeon
b. Trees - very, very good concept about an alien invasion where the aliens do not notice humans.
c. Injection - Planetary redux but with British myths instead of superheroes
d. Moon Knight, which I have not read
e. A short stint on Captain Marvel
f. a new novel, called Normal.

He seems to have reconciled his aversion to superheroes, or perhaps he is using them to fund his more interesting concepts.

Anyone else enjoying his current work, or have any insight as to his recent spur of activity?

I don’t know why he’s become so productive, but I’m grateful. I read his recent take on James Bond, and I thought it was well done, though not spectacular.

Ah yes, I forgot about Vargr.

An interview with Ellis indicates that he relishes the opportunity to scribe it, but was subject to a great deal of editorial scrutiny from whichever company owns the Bond property.

(Apologies for any UBB coding mistakes - it has been a while.)
