I just finished reading her autobiography. She was a very influential person, and a well regarded psychiatrist. yet, near the end of her life, she started believing a lot of strange things. For example, she once was visited by a woman who showed her polaroid pictures of flowers in her garden-which included elves among the flowers. She then took her own pictures-and saw the elves as well.
She also got into researching near death experiences.
What is the concensus? was she a competent doctor who later became a bit soft?
