Was Samuel L Jackson Gordon on Sesame Street?

Of course not.

But watch THIS old SS clip. Especially the last 20 seconds.

Not only does he look like a young SLJ, he sounds quite a bit like like him.

Now imagine Jacksons Jules Winnfield being Gordon.

Oscar you orange son of a bitch! I want this mother fuggin trash off my mother fuckin’ street right mother fucking now!

Why do I think of things like this?

You might be on to something there with a theme - after all, Morgan Freeman was Easy Reader on the Electric Company. He comes in at around 45 sec on this clip.

“One of these things is not like the others” – so I’m moving this one from MPSIMS to Cafe Society.

Um, fine.

But this thread was just an expression of a goofy thought I had after seeing that clip. Truly mindless and pointless if you ask me.

I know SLJ wasn’t Gordon. Matt Robinson was.

Man, I’m just not seeing it. You paint a funny picture, but I don’t see a tremendous resemblance.

Sorry, I couldn’t hear you. All I could think was “Oscar used to be orange?!”

Matt Robinson played him 2-3 seasons, as did another actor, but Roscoe Orman (Willie Dynamite) has played him since 1974 to today.

Love pointless trivia.

caligulathegod you’ll be pleased to know that Matt Robinson is the father of Holly Robinson-Peete of 21 Jump Street and Hangin’ With Mr. Cooper fame (now married to NFL star Rodney Peete).

In my youth when I was watching Sesame Street, I thought that Gordon and Walt Frazier were the same person.

Matt Robinson as Gordon (w/ Roosevelt Franklin)

Walt Frazier

I remember Morgan Freeman was a vampire.
