I thought Gordon from Sesame Street deserved his own thread.

I couldn’t find a link other than the one Tars Tarkas posted in one of the Joshua Evans threads.

Sigh. He was on for such a brief time, and if I have memories of him they’re probably subliminal. Still, he was one of the original cast.

Anecdote: When his daughter, now known as Holly Robinson Peete, got her chance to be one of the kids on the set, she blew her one line!

“Hi there, kids!”

“Hi Gordon…Hi Gordon…Hi Gordon…Hi Daddy!”

“CUT! Goin’ again right away!”

This post was brought to you by the letters R, I and P.

Man, that BITES!:frowning: Gordon ruled!

I love Sesame Street, and even though I was an older kid when it first came on, I loved it as a kid too.

I actually have a video of the very first episode, the one where Gordon goes around and kind of introduces everybody. Gordon, by the way, told the kids he was a teacher at a public school.
Ernie & Bert looked like they were drug addicts with their hair all messed up and such, Big Bird has a real skinny head and acts like he’s retarded, and Oscar the Grouch is ORANGE!

When I was little, I got to go see Gordon live at the mall. I even got an autographed picture that remains somewhere in my parent’s house.
Gordon was cool man. Mom says I had a little preschool type crush on him that was so cute that she had to take me to see him when he came to town.

I had no idea there were three Gordons!
