Was that wrong? Should she not have done that? RIP Glenne Headly.

I didn’t realize she was that old (63). I read she died suddenly but I see no cause. And even though she was older than I thought she was, that’s still kind of young to die for no reason.

Oh wow. Had no idea.

I love links to *Variety. *It’s not quite English as we know it.

I also did not know that she was at one time married to John Malkovich. Also NBC has her age at 62.

Oh, the irony. :stuck_out_tongue:

?

The article is fine.

I didn’t realize she was 63, and i agree, too young to just…die.

RIP

Sorry, my post above got cut off. I meant to add that “sudden” and “unexpected” deaths, along with “after a brief illness” all used to be polite circumlocutions for suicide. (A “long illness” was invariably cancer.) Variety’s language is odd but often precise in its own way.

The Variety story has been changed and a correction noticed posted; she was 62.

Ah, so you didn’t mean to thread shit with an irrelevant jab at the publication, you meant to gossip about the deceased. Either way, super classy.

Didn’t intend to jack the thread but my partial post sent things sideways. I mean their special use of language as in she was in a series “now lensing” somewhere.

Which was (supposed to be) tied to:

If you choose to see it that way. Variety uses a lot of old-school journalism styles; in that everyone seems surprised she “died suddenly” I was pointing out this could be the case, given who’s reporting it.

Nonsense. “A brief illness” always referred to referred to a heart attack, stroke, or cerebral hemorrhage.

It doesn’t matter. You have been told time and time and time about this before. This is now a warning for you. Stop posting in this thread, also, because you can’t seem to stop from hijacking it.

Had a small part in Fandango. She was one of those actresses I loved seeing pop up.

I feel 62 is way too young for her also.

Aw man, I loved her in Dirty Rotten Scoundrels.

I don’t remember much of her stuff after that but her IMDB page shows that she’s been steadily working. Great character actress, I agree that 62 is much too soon.
