A friend of mine lent me a David Icke video. Three hours worth. I watched it. At least the first hour and 40 minutes after which I coudn’t take it anymore and shut it off.
Why did I watch?
I dunno. I knew what it was going to be like. I don’t know if he ever got to the point about the human reptile hybrids.
The thing about David Icke is that he literally believes what he says. Those giant mutant space lizards aren’t code for evil Jews or whatever, they’re literally giant mutant space lizards.
You probably know this already, but Icke was featured in Bill Maher’s Religulous… or maybe he was one of the people whose interview didn’t make the cut for the film, but was included in the DVD extras. Anyway, he came off better than some. Articulate, bright, apparently sincere, and very aware of others’ view of his brand of conspiracy theorizing… but still crazy as a loon, poor guy.
By any chance, did his spiel happen to contain terms like “[exo-]genesis” and “cross-pollination”?
Anyone interested in this sort of thing (either because you believe or because you wonder at the nonsense people believe) might like to check out this magazine website . It’s a magazine from New Zealand, hence not as well-known as some, and it offers quite an intriguing mix of credulity and taking a stance against credulity. However, you may like to know pre-click that the mag has been accused of anti-semitism, although the editors vehemently deny the accusation.
