Washington State passes "Stripper's bill of rights."

Based on what’s listed in the article,( “training for employees in establishments to prevent sexual harassment, identify and report human trafficking, de-escalate conflict and provide first aid. It also mandates security workers on site, keypad codes on dressing rooms and panic buttons in places where entertainers may be alone with customers”) I think this is a great idea and I hope that other states quickly adopt it. I don’t expect that they will, but I can dream, right?

Ironically, the state capital of Olympia has no strip clubs, because when one opened about ten years ago the city council went full “Won’t someone PLEASE think of the children?” and passed a bunch of new taxes specifically intended to drive this one club out of business, and it worked.

So perhaps it’s a performative bit of law?

I’m sure there are still strip clubs in other parts of the state.

And yeah, if strip clubs are going to exist at all, then rules like this to protect the workers are essential.

Heck, in Seattle there’s one right across the street from Pike Place.

Okay, this cracks me up.

“Lot of guys suddenly choking on the free peanuts all of a sudden and needing CPR huh”

Why?

(Fucking discourse)
