You’ll be hard pressed to find someone under a certain age who’s a college graduate who didn’t have SOME history of binge drinking, unless you confine yourself to a certain set of very rule-following people (we called them “dorks”) who were usually either very strange or very religious.

Have you been willfully blind and deaf to what the Republicans have been saying since Kavanaugh’s confirmation and really to everything they’ve been saying for years? They obviously are dangerous, racist, evil, and fanatic. Trump is a symptom of their disease, not a new and unexpected mutant.
So, Kavanaugh doesn’t know himself? Because he speaks of himself as a mean drunk who has no respect for either the law or for other people.
As for “ruining his life”, or whatever: Don’t forget that Trump and the Republicans in the Senate have ruined my life, too, because they didn’t put me on the Supreme Court, and I don’t even have any rape allegations against me.

It must be nice that literally everyone who disagrees with you is evil and always has been. If you treat others as good people who have different ways of seeing the world, then you actually have to engage the arguments and that gets so tiresome.
I heard Kavanaugh speak of himself as someone who likes beer and is devoted to his family, his faith, and his country.
Judging from your posts you probably don’t have what it takes to be a Supreme Court Justice but you may still go on to lead a fulfilling life.
This should be carved in stone somewhere. Maybe the pedestal for your statue.

We have a long, long tradition in the U.S. of corrupt and convicted leaders (the relative predominance in recent decades likely reflects a less kindly attitude towards sexually-related offenses and more statutes/diligence in rooting out financial crimes, not that our forebears were so doggone honest and morally upright).
