Watch how the Republicans DON'T whine about winning the popular but losing the electoral college...

I note that Obama is currently up 150k in the popular vote now with the west coast still counting. I trust you will be back in 2016 with more bad predictions, yes?

Guy on Fox: “Romney was reluctant to throw barbs at Obama during the campaign…”

:smack:

I’d just like to repeat this in case Hail Ants missed it.

To put some numbers on it:

Obama currently leads by about 400,000 votes, according to CNN.

According to my crude calculations, Obama stands to gain about a million more votes than Romney in California from the votes not yet counted. He should also get 500,000 in New York and 100,000 in Michigan. Other than that, I don’t see any large reservoirs in blue states waiting to be counted.

Romney doesn’t have any large states with many uncounted votes left. He does have big leads in some small western states that are mostly uncounted, so I’ll throw in half a million extra votes for him from those states.

Nothing is yet counted from Hawaii and Alaska, but I assume those two states will roughly cancel each other out.

Adding it all up, I predict a final margin of about 1,500,000 votes for Obama, or roughly one percent of the popular vote.

God would never vote for a baby murderer. Besides, Obama only really won 3% of the vote.

<sigh>

Per CNN, the margin favors Obama by 2.6M votes as of this posting.

All that said, I still wish we’d go to a popular vote to make everyone’s vote more relevant and spread the love (and political ads) across the country. Of course, I also would like to have electronic voting available from home, so what do I know?

Just curious. Have your postings the last couple of days been a bit of Colbert-ic satire, have you suffered a TBI or other personality-changing medical event, or has somebody hacked your SDMB account? Inquiring minds want to know.
