Ways to be energetic on low-cal diet?

If I’m trying to lose fat–i.e. consume fewer calories than I burn–but (naturally) feel less energetic and more lazy because my body is no longer telling me “Oh boy, food!!! Let’s go burn this s*** off!!!”, what are some ways to force or motivate my body/system or mind/attitude to want to work hard or exercise, i.e. do calorie-burning things?
Thanks gang!!

Don’t go overboard on the calorie deficit.
200-300 under maintenance level is easier to deal with than trying to go 1000 under.
Personally, high protein helps me curb hunger. Roughly 1gm per pound of lean body weight.
Look around to see if you can have a body composition test (calipers, DEXA, water immersion) done. Super accuracy isn’t needed, you just want a approximate lean mass estimate.
