God I’d give a pinky finger to eat a whole tub of coolwhip.
ETA feel free to judge, cause i don’t care.
I’m from Minnesota, not Lutheran tho
We make the Jell-O fluff but no cottage cheese - just Cool Whip, Jell-O and fruit. It’s very good and easy. Why cottage cheese?! I just imagine a very bad texture with chunks. UGH
So what happens with the Jell-O? Does it thicken the mix or just flavor it or what?
Mostly it’s for flavor, I think. It doesn’t have a Jell-O like texture, at all.
The Jell-o powder just flavors stuff. Jell-o powder is quite useful for flavoring things. If you’re low-carbing and making pretty tasteless stuff like flax muffins, sugar-free Jell-o powder can impart more flavor than just about any other ingredient.
I’ve won a couple of Cool Whip eating contests. Hands-free Cool Whip eating contests. Unfortunately, the container walls are too high & it’s tough to get the corners.
The first time we were all in a row. I knew I was ahead of the people directly next to me but could not see the progress of others further down the row. I had gotten all I could from what was in front of me so I grabbed the edge with my teeth & spun the container; the crowd went wild!
A thousand people were surveyed and asked if they had ever eaten whipped cream straight. Nine hundred admitted they had done so. The other hundred lied.
I’ve eaten a lot of Lemon Icebox pie. It’s just flavored Cool Whip in a graham cracker pie shell.
Haven’t made it in a long time. IIRC the recipe is a can of Eagle Brand Sweetened Condensed milk, lemon juice, and a tub of Cool Whip. Pour in pie shell and refrigerate.
It makes a very light and airy pie. Basically flavored Cool Whip.
Do you need the condensed milk? The extra sugar is great but the milk part might have some healthy nutrients in it.
There are Cool Whip pies that don’t use the Eagle Brand milk.
This one is just yogurt and Cool Whip
Surely it is a law of nature that any foodstuff that can be eaten like ice cream should be eaten like ice cream.
You could try using a can of Evaporated milk. The amount of lemon juice will need adjusting. Since the only sweetener is in the Cool Whip.
I used a half cup lemon juice. I’d suggest only pouring a Quarter cup and tasting it. Add more as needed. Pour the unused back in the bottle.
I’ve made it without the graham cracker pie shell. Spread it out in a 9x9 glass pan. Refrigerate. It cuts into squares reasonably well for a family meal. I’d use a pie shell for company. Pie looks nicer on a plate.
I always used to get yelled at growing up eating Cool Whip right out the container. I can’t wait until the next time I show that to my mother. HA!
Recently I made orange jello and stirred in a packet of vanilla pudding mix, then I added a tub of Cool Whip, mixed it all together and put it in the fridge for a few hours. It made a nice, light dessert.
Slumber party special: Cool Whip with plain chocolate M&Ms. That was more than 30 years ago.
Can’t imagine eating Cool Whip anymore, but then I probably haven’t eaten any for decades. They don’t have it around here.
mixed with cream cheese and sugar and eating it that way OR on a graham cracker crust…YUM!
Damn you Family Guy! Thanks to that gag I can never see the words “Cool Whip” without pronouncing it “Cool Hwip” in my head.
^ You’re eating hair!
Someone needs to invent a Cool Whip Bong.
