I’m going to be about a month in between 2 jobs and was looking for suggestions on ways I could make quick cash.
I will apply with employment agencies for temporary jobs, but maybe there other things I could do (that are not illegal) that would give a good return with $0 or minimal investment without having to wait 2 weeks for payment?
Maybe something on the Internet? Or sperm donorship (how would I go about that)? Or how about donating “plasma” (I think) or other body fluids? Some kind of gambling, with minimal risk? How about focus or test groups or scientific studies? Anything using writing or driving or other skills?
Well, there’s a guy who comes to our offices, takes customers’ cars somewhere, and washes them. He took mine for an hour today (I don’t know how long it took him) and he washed it inside and out for $20. Probably could get more/less depending on the cost of living where you are. From your post it looks like you’re trying not to do manual labor, but it was quick cash…and the market is fairly inexhaustible, whereas you can probably only donate plasma once every six (?) weeks or so…
Where I live, you can donate plasma every two days, maximum twice per week. They give you a bonus if you donate five times in a single month.
I’ve done it for quick cash plenty of times. They don’t pay really well, or anything, but if you have nothing else to do, taking a walkman to pass the time while they drain blood outta your arm for twenty bucks isn’t so bad…
Paper route. Around here, it’s 3 or 4 hours in the morning and they earn pretty good money. You just have to commit yourself to seven mornings a week, every week for the rest of your life, or time you work there, whichever is shorter.
Never discount a McJob if you really need money.
Pickpocketing returns different amounts of money, but (whisper it’s illegal)
Sell things on eBay.
Take out a loan, so you can bury your credit when you don’t have a job to make the payments.
You could probably make a hundred or two (or more) a week flipping thrift acquired stuff on Ebay, but this requires a digital camera, a knowledge of what is likely to be profitably salable vs what is junk, how to write interesting ads and how to research (if value questionable) and price things competitively.
