Ways you talk yourself into/out of things...

This partly a Pitting of my own tendency to do this, but I decided to make it more positive by asking what you lot say to yourselves to talk yourself into or out of something.

One of my examples is this: I’m bored at work and I’m racking my brain for something to do.

I tell myself there are some dumbells downstairs and privacy to use them.

I then tell myself that if I am going to do that then I should eat some protein/carbs/fat to get some benefit from the workout.

I then tell myself I’m not hungry and I’m sort of on a diet, and I don’t have the right food with me anyway.

And back to boredom/thinking of ways not to be bored.

My entire life is like this. One of my biggest faults if I can recognise my own faults is that I over analyse things… And then I over analyse that. If I didn’t think carefully about something I’d fail at it.
So what are your internal conversations for talking yourself into or out of something?
