WCE Tanzania 2003

hey guys!

Well I thought I’d share some info. Some of you guys will remember that I wrote in the pit about my team members titled ‘greedy f**king bastards’. It was all about how I had put time and effort into fund raising and then was forced to share the money with them when they knew that this was my own fund raising not a team event, anyhoo. They DID NOT give me my money and kept it for themselves! Ah! Anyway I went on my expedition. I got back the other week and hoped to catch up on the SDMB but that never happened. I had the best time of my life over there! The first week I was their I did the acclimitisation trek up the pare mountains and climbed all the peaks. My second week was spent in a place called Moshi where I met my second home aka the kindoroko hotel. The third week I made bricks with no help from machinary and helped build a school all the while being frightened by the spiders and scorpions!Ah the best week of all -rest and relaxation! We went to a place just outta Pangani called Argovia and stayed in Bandas. Here we were able to swim in the indian ocean, unfortunately this caused me much pain since I got badly sun burnt ALL OVER! So I didn’t sleep for 3 nights and then had to sit for 10hrs on a crowded bus! Blah. Although I did have some downs - my team leader callin me really fat (but hey Im not the thinnest of people , I have a large chest which does create the illusion that im bigger than i am), I was i’ll most of the trip and the leader hating me - he said i put a lot of hard work into making other people as upset as i am! I also had some really good times (seeing lions having sex) and made some really good friends! No doubt none of this makes sense since I’m too hyper think about what Im typing! Ahhhhhhhh! Shame on you Bippy! I leave for 4weeks and your going off with some mean old lady! Pah!

love, peace and cream pie,

I am glad you managed to have a good time despite the illness and sun burn. I’m glad you made bricks instead of recreating wattle and daub building techniques. What was the acclimatation trek like? Did you have to camp out on the mountains.
ALL OVER huh, were you skinny dipping in the Indian Ocean? What about the sharks (you might have embarrassed them).

Yeah we had to camp out on the mountains. we walked all day so that each night we could camp on the peaks. It was amazing to be above the clouds and the sun rise was just beautiful.Oh and those sharks were LOVING it! What you been up to Bip apart from romancing mean old lady!lol
