This weekend was rough on the little ones. We had friends over on Sunday for a cookout so we were all outside, including the dogs. We put a baby gate around bunny nest to protect them but little did we know, the dogs were relentless. They dug under the baby gate and had 4 out of the 6 out of the nest before we discovered their extra-curricular activities…

We were able to rescue 2 of the 4 missing ones and none appeared to be hurt. The nest was moved again this morning so I didn’t disturb them to take a head count. As we were rounding them up, though, I remembered to grab the camera.

Okay, they’re so cute I literally made sure my appartment was quiet while I was looking at the pictures so as to not wake them. Yep. Brain-alteringly cute. :smiley:

And I see madrabbitwoman has melted again. Sheesh, someone get the smelling salts.

Alas, the babies are gone. Hopefully, they are gnawing on the neighbors plants and not mine. I should get a few brownie points in their eyes for rescuing them from the Killer Yorkies.

My step-son is coming this weekend with his lab so this is a great time for them to leave the nest. :slight_smile:
