To continue the hijack, I’m a former Ukrop’s bagger—eh, courtesy clerk. Once, when I was 16, while on break in the upstairs breakroom, I believe I overheard a conversation between Bobby Ukrop, Jim Duncan* and John Bernier** whereby if these guys would just predicts lots of snow, Bobby would kick back a small yet not unsubstantial percentage of the extra Snow Madness Revenue. I swear. (Well, not really; but could’ve happened . . .)
