We need a woman president

Ferraro ran on the Democratic ticked for VP. I think the Dems thought, “We’re gonna lose this contest, so we might as well make history.” I’ve heard that Mondale didn’t want a woman on the ticket, but being a weak candidate, he didn’t have much say.

Much as I wouldn’t mind a female VP or prez, I don’t think it’s gonna happen in the US for quite a while. I think we’ll have a non-white male president or VP before a woman gets elected.

Jebus, sorry you feel that way. I hope something happens to change your mind, because I’d hate to think you vote gender instead of qualifications.

I personally can’t wait for the day I see a qualified female getting the nod from either of the two main political parties. No, I don’t vote gender. It will just be good to see.

I’m going to hold my breath until we get a transgendered president. Specificly Female to Male.

Wait. I’m female.

oldscratch, I cannot predict when teh first transgendered candidate will run, and perhaps be elected. But it should warm your heart to know that one of the major candidates this year, Al Gore, invented transgenderness! Go Al, he’s our man! (uh, well, sems to be our man.)

Pretty much true of all politicians, isn’t it? At least the successful ones. If you were a Democrat, you’d probably call her media savvy.

Touche. I’m not a republican either, though, but I don’t find Al Gore to be nearly as offensive as she (though I’d never vote for him, either.)

Jean Kirkpatrick. Maggie Thatcher.

Others I’d vote for:

Colin Powell
Dick Cheney

I’ll probably vote for Ralph Nader. Is that close?
Peace,
