Some people nowadays are apartment dwellers with no idea of real ingredient cooking and they live literally on convenience foods and fast foods, and apartment freezers are tiny once you cram in 3 bags of frozen veggies, a gallon of ice cream, 2 ice cube trays and a frozen lasagne … :smack: They might have 3 or 4 cans of cream of critter soup and a few boxes of ground critter helper, and a box of cereal.
Even when I was living in a tiny studio apartment, I could have survived quite nicely for a couple of weeks without shopping, and using a small camp stove to cook upon set up on an open windowsill. I lived in a very old apartment building that had 24 inch thick brick walls, and double windows. Once I fit a small aquarium on the windowsill so my snakes and tarantulas could enjoy the sunlight =)
Of course the menu would have included a lot of vegan minestrone, and vegan lentil stew, and vegan chili … farty but tasty =)
