Weather Girl - a movie I'd like to recommend

I just saw a movie on HBO called Weather Girl.

It is not a big budget Hollywood film. But it was one of the nicest movies I have seen in a long time and I’d like to recommend it to you.

It’s the story of a single 35 year old lady working as a weather girl who loses her temper on air and has to quit her job as a result and move in with her slacker brother.

It stars Tricia O’Kelley, Patrick J. Adams and Mark Harmon and was directed by Blayne Weaver.

It feels like an independent production but I’m not really sure.

I just really liked it. It was a tender hearted movie and I think that anyone who is jaded by recent real-world bullshit might find some solace in this movie.

Never heard of it. But I’ll take your word for it. There, it’s in my nextflix queue.

I’d heard of it… what kind of movie is it? Dark Comedy? Rom Com? Odd Indie mix of drama, comedy and soft core porn?

It’s a combination love story and comedy - but mostly a love story.

I’m amused that the plot involves her moving in with her brother and it co-stars Jon Cryer.

If I were him, I’d start reading her parts, and pretend I’d thought we were on my show.

Then probably ignore the ‘are you high?’ looks I got as I laughed at my own joke.

haha i was just about to say the same thing…

but the live action version of “Weather Report Girl” was called “weather woman” IIRC.

By the way, I’d just like to add that Jon Cryer has a very tiny miniscule role in this film.

He only appears on the screen for about 30 seconds or so - in total!

So, if you hate him as much as I do, don’t worry. He’s not around long enough to ruin this film.
