As part of Public Law 92-205 (1972), all non-Federal weather modification activities must be reported to the U.S. Secretary of Commerce, via the NOAA Weather Program Office. Below is a list of these reports and is updated on an annual basis.

If you have questions or comments concerning this resource, or you need further assistance, please contact the NOAA Weather Program Office.

You need to understand that anyone can post on Medium. Clicks earn bucks. Opal claims no expertise in anything scientific, cites programs known to be favorites of CTers, like HAARP, and does not mention global climate change even once. Anything she sees in the sky can only be explainable by weather modification to her satisfaction but she never mentions any real connections.

I’m sure that many governments are trying to modify weather in small ways; this goes back a century. Programs that would effect whole continents are not yet known to exist. Nothing Opal says disproves that.

Here is the research : This is real not a conspiracy theory. I guess you’re not interested in ocean fertilization? I can pro vide the research if you’re interested.

We describe a remotely piloted aircraft [also known as an unmanned aircraft system (UAS)] from which ions of either polarity can be released in a regularized manner, also providing an onboard measuring capability with which the local droplet, thermodynamic and electrical conditions can be monitored.
(Demonstration of a Remotely Piloted Atmospheric Measurement and Charge Release Platform for Geoengineering in: Journal of Atmospheric and Oceanic Technology Volume 38 Issue 1 (2021)). The technology developed is described here. Section 2 assesses the requirements for an ion release system from which generated ions ultimately become attached to water droplets, charging them.

Cloud seeding, under various names and techniques, has been around for a century, as I said. Of course governments are investigating it, as I said.

What Opal says goes far beyond that, and she states her claims about giant government-controlled programs without an iota of proof. Seeing a clear sky in Alberta does not imply that the government of any country generated it. That’s pure CT. Most of her article is “just asking questions.” That’s pure CT. She cites an article on Chinese activities in Antarctica when she just asks questions about China buying up land in Alberta. That’s pure CT.

There’s nothing there. The article is mere fluff aimed at garnering clicks.

@Exapno_Mapcase More research for your understanding that this is real and if you and others want to research SNOWIE I’ll add the link with pictures.

"Thanks to high-tech radar equipment, the scientists were able to monitor the response of the clouds from the moment the silver iodide was released into the air until the moment snow began to fall. Over the course of those three days, the scientists estimated that around 286 Olympic swimming pools’ worth of snow fell from the clouds they seeded.

Friedrich and her colleagues, including scientists from Colorado, Wyoming, Illinois and Idaho, published their findings in a groundbreaking paper last year in Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences ."

Abstract

The Seeded and Natural Orographic Wintertime Clouds: The Idaho Experiment (SNOWIE) project aims to study the impacts of cloud seeding on winter orographic clouds. The field campaign took place in Idaho between 7 January and 17 March 2017 and

There. I bolded it this third time for easier recognition.

Wait. Are you Opal and citing your own clickbait? That would explain it.

The “Medium” article cited in the OP is laughable conspiracy theory nonsense with a dose of climate change denial thrown in. It claims the existence of “international government weather modification systems” and that governments are “blaming” the results of their secret weather modification schemes on carbon emissions. Also, Trudeau is an evil monster trying to destroy businesses, our economy, and the world – or something like that.

The rest of the OP’s rants are mostly about small-scale experiments in variations of cloud seeding, which as @Exapno_Mapcase pointed out, is nothing new and has been tried in various forms for about a century. Indeed the SNOWIE experiment cited above uses silver iodide, which has been used as a nucleation agent in cloud seeding attempts for at least 60 years if not longer. The purpose of SNOWIE was to try to try to quantify what effectiveness, if any, such seeding may have. This is because, as stated in grant application abstract, “There is a lack of concrete evidence that cloud seeding has the intended impact of increasing precipitation”.

IOW, the entire premise of the OP is nonsensical conspiracy theory.

I’ve always thought chem trails and cloud seeding and weather engineering ‘always’ had CT association implied. About a month ago the my news had the Gates dimming the sun. I finally got around to I’m bored and I think I’ll check it out.

I read everything… I might read 5 10 hours a day sometimes. So when I was researching when I saw the studies I perused 10 to 15+ articles. I knew at the usual suspects would call out the medium article. If anyone looked she provided research studies too.

Another thing when did NGO’S become so influencial in influencing public and government policy?

Uh… what?

Those vaccine tracker chips have gone grey goo. Filling the sky.

I just know that something good is going to happen. I don’t know when.

Below is SSC full statement.

“No technical test flight for SCoPEx from Esrange
Climate change and its consequences is one of the greatest challenges we face on our planet. Research within this field is therefore important, and many of the experiments that are being conducted onboard balloons and rockets from Esrange Space Center contribute to such research.

To that end, the purpose of the SCoPEx project as such fits well into SSC services and mission to help earth benefit from Space.

However, the scientific community is divided regarding geoengineering, including any related technology tests such as the planned technical balloon test flight from Esrange this summer.

SSC has had dialogues this spring with both leading experts on geo-engineering and with other stakeholders, as well as with the SCoPEx Advisory Board. As a result of these dialogues and in agreement with Harvard, SSC has decided not to conduct the technical test flight planned for this summer.

Whether or not research on geoengineering should be conducted is an important discussion that should continue within the scientific community, as well as with other stakeholders and the general public. SSC welcomes such a broad societal discussion on this important matter.”

I don’t think Opal is a native English speaker:

That isn’t a source of scientific information-that is a source of embarrassment.

Tell Bill Gates that!

Maybe?
