Web sites you check out every day.

I have a list of web sites I go to every day (well weekdays at least):
Merriam Webster word of the day
Dilbert
Rose is Rose
Rueters health news on Yahoo
My horoscope on Excite blush
Non Sequitur
and SDMB, of course.

Also weekly: the home page for SD & Yahoo classified ads.

So, does anyone else have pages they check daily?

Straight Dope Message Boards (multiple times daily)

Popula (auction site for vintage clothes, misc.)

Realtor.com (once or twice a week)

Internet Movie DataBase (daily)

Des Moines Register Online (daily)

Veni, Vidi, Visa … I came, I saw, I bought.

That’s about it, I think.

Twice a day, www.kittycam.com to see if I can see Kitty. My husband can’t understand, he says “you have 3 cats right here at home, why do you have to look for this one?” but still I must.

“With enough courage, you can do without a reputation.” - Rhett Butler

Every daily:
Really only this site. I used to check out more daily but I’m trying to break my addiction to the web since I won’t have any much time to be online soon.

Regularly: http://www.theonion.com, http://www.brunching.com, http://www.cnn.com, http://www.medhelp.org

If anyone cares, I have a website at http://www.iglou.com/solaris

www.imdb.com
www.cinescape.com
The Philadelphia Inquire and Philadelphia Daily News Sports pages.
www.fastball.com

I try to read a little bit from here every day. Pick out a story, then start it.
etext.lib.virginia.edu/eng-on.html

the straight dope, of course.

Oh, and of course all my email and stuff, but that doesn’t count.
pat

This site, usually twice daily.
CNN, usually daily
Intellicast for the Northeast Radar/Four day forecast, usually daily

http://www.herald.com/content/archive/living/barry/content.htm

http://www.freep.com/index/albom.htm

I check each of these every couple of days to see what’s new, otherwise almost all my time in the web is spent checking SDMB (about an hour and a half before work in the AM).

This is the only site I spend any significant time on. I check my hotmail about 2-3 times a day and usually the weather. I’ve found that the Weather channel’s site ( www.weather.com is much more accurate that MSNBC’s weather that’s provided on the MSN website that I get when I log out of my Hotmail account.

www.skepticnews.com

And, of course, the SDMB.

http://www.doodie.com

Abstainer: a weak person who yields to the temptation of denying himself a pleasure.
- Ambrose Bierce

Of course, the SDMB.

The previous night’s Royals boxscore at http://www.fastball.com/royals/

Numerous cartoons on both http://www.unitedmedia.com/comics/ and http://www.kingfeatures.com/comics/

I also check out the newly available comic books on http://www.ebay.com

And http://www.wfcomics.com/tony/

“Sherlock Holmes once said that once you have eliminated the
impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be
the answer. I, however, do not like to eliminate the impossible.
The impossible often has a kind of integrity to it that the merely improbable lacks.”
– Douglas Adams’s Dirk Gently, Holistic Detective

The web sites I usually visit daily are:
(bear with me, I don’t know how to create links)

Hotmail (www.hotmail.com)
AP Wire (wire.ap.org)
Weather Channel (www.weather.com)
Opalcat’s World Domination Headquarters (www.fathom.org/opalcat)

Of course, I try to check this board regularly, but I’ve been busy for the last couple of weeks, so this is the first chance I’ve had to be here in a while (alot of catching up to do)

Shadowfox

I can’t do links either–makes me feel old not to be able to handle the technology but that’s another thread

http://www.anet-chi.com/~yopark/randomthoughts/
for an hilarious send-up of All my children

drudgereport.com for newsbits
Off the drudge report I check out:
bbc
chicago sun-times
pioneerplanet.com for Dear Abby
Camile Paglia

I’m a news junkie, so besides you good people, I have to check into the AP Newswire, Salon, and the BBC News every day. If I see WWIII is going to start, I can just shut off my computer and go home!

Bunny, it must be a Michigan thing for the fascination with the weather. I go to
weather.com all the time, but I put in exotic places knowing that somewhere someone is having nicer weather than here.

Well I check on the Detroit Free Press sports page, to see whats going on with my Lions Or Wings depending on the season!

and I check my stock prices on yahoo.com

and i do the crossword at Uclick.com

smilingjaws: as you noticed, the new UBB version doe not require tags to www pages.

My daily stuff is not in English. I also look at a few boards that are not in English at work. That way the IS nazis don’t know what I’m reading, or sending, from work.
