Got a question from my sis today, and I don’t know the answer, but I bet if anyone does it’s a Doper. Here’s the question: Do you know of a website where you can enter your weight, height, general figure information and POOF, it spits out an outline drawing of you and then pictures into the future based on losing 30 lbs., 50 lbs, 80 lbs. etc? Can you find a sight like this?
This sounds like the kind of modeling that forensics people do. But you’d need a LOT of information to do it well. Maybe you wouldn’t need a 3D model built up from the bones by a CAT scan, but something not far off.
I’d be surprised if a service could do such modeling accurately with less than a very complete set of measurements and a set of full-body diagnostic pics. I’d be very surprised if a web service could do it accurately from one clothed photgraph.
You know what might work as a stop-gap is one of those clothing sites where you can virtually “try-on” clothes…
Landsend Virtual Model will adjust the model, but only up to a point.
WeightView might be of interest.
Warning, the above link makes noise.
Oops. Sorry. I didn’t know that. I keep my speakers turned off most of the time.
They say that they turn submitted pictures around in 48 hours. From looking at the sample pictures, I suspect they have an artist making the changes, and just performing standard acts of reducing bellies, etc. So it wouldn’t be the rigorous modeling I was thinking of, but an experienced human guess.
I think that’s closer to what the sibling is looking for. See, man, I KNEW you guys would have something.
