Are there any websites (or other places on the Internet) where you can submit text you’ve written in a foreign language to a community of native speakers, who then help you correct the mistakes? In exchange you would make yourself available to correct others’ texts submitted in your own language.
I’m interested in such a community because lately I’m finding myself having to write a lot of business letters in German (e.g., to my landlord) and while I’m fluent enough to make myself understood, I sometimes overlook small but obvious mistakes, or phrase things unidiomatically.
A Google search turned up CorrectMyText.com, but it’s hard to gauge how active and useful this site is, because no dates are listed with the submissions, and among those on the front page there don’t appear to be many comments or corrections submitted. Does anyone have experience with this website, or know of any similar websites, mailing lists, etc.?
