Are there any out real good ones out there?
Everything below this point in my post can be considered “optional reading”:
By the way, learning a foreign language has made me a lot more tolerant of the mistakes of foreign speakers. How can I get annoyed when someone Chinese forgets to pluralize a word when I myself often mix up “ser” and “estar” and am still fuzzy on the distinction between the indicative and the subjunctive?
Also, speaking live is a much more mistake-prone experience. I rarely mix up adjective genders when writing, but when you’re trying to speak quickly, it’s very easy to accidentally say something with bad grammar like “la persona alto”.
