Not bad, all in all. Brian Austin Green, Harold Perrineau and others. The second episode really built on the first. Looks like it could be a winner if it gets the chance. Good music, funny situations and a reasonably interesting cast.
The Druidess and I have watched two episodes, and added it to the DVR schedule. The episode numbering seems off, though. We saw the pilot, with the lead singer’s ex-girlfriend’s wedding, and then we saw the one about the nerd party–which was identified as episode 4 by DISH for some reason. Those are the only two episodes so far, right?
I think it’s a decent show. Has funny moments, and the music isn’t bad. I haven’t watched closely enough to know if the cast are real musicians, or just faking it, but the sound works to my unsophisticated ear.
We’re still watching, and mostly enjoying the show. Did not like the ending to last night’s episode, though. The drummer spends most of the episode thinking about his prom date from way back when, gets the guitar player’s cop wife to track the girl down, and finally hooks up with her…then dumps her cold because he doesn’t like the song she plays as they make out?
Ugh. It wasn’t cute, it wasn’t funny, and it made no damn sense.
Another/an earlier Wedding Band thread? Ok, I’ll play in this one, too.
Still loving this show. I love the cast, and I really do think it has moments of brilliance. It makes me feel old, though, because each week I don’t recognize at least one of the songs (this time it was the Ke$ha song; I guess I should be glad that I know who Ke$ha is).
It made total sense to me: sadly, I’ve known people who would do just that.
Watched the premier episode and enjoyed it so much I made a mental note to watch it again. But, since I’m totally mental, the note went unheeded and I missed the second one. Am I the only one who thinks the drummer could be Jack Black’s slightly slimmer younger brother?
