In Eurocentric families, the wedding ring is worn on the third finger of the left hand. In Arabic families, the right hand is for eating, and the left hand is for cleaning up after poopage.
In couples mixed between those two cultural groups, is the wedding ring worn on the left hand?
I don’t know the answer to your question, but in Norway, Denmark, Austria, and Germany (there may be others) the wedding ring is worn on the right hand. In fact in Germany, wearing a ring on the left denotes engagement. Whenever my husband and I travel we wear the rings according to local custom. After all, the wedding ring is an outward sign. We usually change it during the flight.
