I have always heard that smoking the seeds and stems of weed can make you sterile. Does anyone know if this is true? I have a friends that are trying to have a baby and the wife claims that they haven’t achieved this goal due to the husband smoking with me.
I have smoked marijuana for 7 years, and have never even had a pregnancy scare. YMMV
I smoked weed for nearly 25 years…lot’s of stems and seeds. My wife did too.
3 healthy children.
We went through three years of infertility treatment, during which my husband gave it up. It (weed in general, not just stems and seeds) does impact the number, mobility and longevity of sperm - which if both parties are super fertile won’t have an impact (Reeder’s case - and other friends of mine as well), but if one or both of you start sub-fertile to begin with, could be the difference between conceiving and not.
We have two children, one adopted, one bio, my husband never took it up again (at least on any sort of regular basis), figuring that he really didn’t want to be that kind of Dad.
Why the hell would anyone want to smoke the seeds and stems? Stems are not very potent and will probably just give you a sore throat if you smoke too much of them, and seeds are the harshest part of the plant to smoke, and often causes terrible headaches.
I have not seen any study that conclusively links smoking weed with infertility, or vice versa.
