I see we agreed on the 'Huskers losing, but you are going DOWN on the Clemson/FSU pick, Zeldar! Now, if we were betting the spread, you might have the better side of the bet, but an outright win?
I admit it’s risky but the target on the Noles’ backs is big enough for Dabo to pull out the same can of Whip-Ass than Spurrier found this last weekend. It ought to be a close game but Clemson has stuff they want to prove again. I like their chances. Sorry.
Right after I make my picks I see that Winston will be out for the first half against Clemson. I don’t know if that is enough to make me rethink my choice though but will definitely make the game more interesting.
I don’t think it will, Nauplius. Sean Macguire is a capable, if inexperienced, QB. I would start thinking about taking Clemson and the 20 points (and the Under) though!
Hopefully this will wake the boy up some. Jimbo is fed up with his shit and it’s past time he learned to control himself better. Dumbass.
Zeldar, did you change the poll to “closed”? I can’t see who I voted for, and I can’t see who anybody else voted for. I think I voted for Kansas State and Clemson, but I can’t see it. I see arrows, though, I hope they don’t mean I accidentally picked one of the two teams to win.
War Eagle and I think the the Seminoles will probably even cover the spread.
I’m standing by my pick in the Clemson game, even without Winston. I’ll be watching Alabama/Florida and Miss State/LSU, while possibly catching parts of others.
And I think you should go ahead and put Boblibdem down for picking against every SEC team, including the conference battles, just for the sake of tradition.
It looks like the early games this week are snoozers. Did I miss a good one?
I may be misreading his thoughts, but I believe BobLibDem may have seen the writing on the wall. Besides, I wouldn’t know how to pick his non-SEC choice in the Clemson game.
How do you rate Florida’s chances? Miss State’s? I can see how you voted but do you have a feel for spreads?
I would say that Florida has a very outside shot, but they will HAVE to contain the 'Bama running game and force them into the pass. If they can do that and the Gator offense plays without mistakes, then they have a shot. Miss St is toast.
State hung on for the huge road win in Death Valley, despite giving up 2 touchdowns in under 30 seconds, and giving LSU the ball with a chance to win as time expired. Strange things happen in that stadium at night, but this time the Tigers ran out of magic.
Bama should have really blown out Florida. Sloppy game with way too many turnovers, but they still won comfortably.
