Okay, a lot of my shows are retro shows. I just discovered the retro tv network, btw - great shows on there! I miss American Dreams - we never got resolution on that show, damn NBC.

The Wire is set, mostly, in Baltimore, although there are occasional excursions to other cities. Baltimore is about 100 miles south of Philadelphia.

For all of the following, shows that have the name of the city in the title are disqualified. Thus, NYPD Blue, LA Law, and Chicago Hope are not acceptable answers, and will be scored as PASS.

NO!
- In all its myriad flavors
- Well, so they said. But it’s some weird alt-NYC, where rent is never a problem.
- I think it fits more as a comedy than as a drama. Dramas don’t have ghosts kvetching to their sons through crime investigations.
- What!? It’s either a drama or a comedy: Finding out whether they can confirm a myth is dramatic; and when they blow things up it’s funny.
- Melodramas are dramas, right? Right?
And at least I didn’t mention any reality shows.

It’s so weird how some of them were such instant associations. I have probably not seen an episode of Dragnet in like, 20 years. Possibly more. But it was my instant answer for Los Angeles (Dragnet, duh), even though I routinely watch other shows that are set in LA, such as The Shield.
