Weekend Getaway

So I want to plan a weekend getaway for me and my boyfriend. This has nothing to do with Valentines Day; we just need to get away for a bit.

What I am looking for is some suggestions.

We live in Calgary, but I am not opposed to flying.
Both of us used to live in Banff so that kind of makes it less appealing. (Not because we don’t like it, but it wouldn’t be a place to get away, we know too many people there. And I know my BF would want to visit old co-workers and the point of this trip is to get away from work)

Any help would be great.

Can you make it 3 days? Drive to Seatle or Vancouver and check things out. Or perhaps South instead to Spokane. Or just pick a direction and drive until you have to turn around.

How far are you willing to fly?

Could you go someplace warm, if you’d want that?
